10 Cute & Fun Valentine's Date Ideas
Valentine's Day is right around the corner for all you lovebirds out there. Now, I advise you to think outside the box and venture out into the more fun kind of date. Dinner and a movie gets old and the usual romantic evening is OKAY but sometimes it's nice to try different and fun! You're never too old to have some plain old fun! If you're full of love this year and have a valentine but don't know what to do, here are some ideas that I thought up (when I was sitting on this couch obvs):
1. Go Kart Racing + Mini Golf
Don't shy away just yet just because this sounds childish. Trust me, things get competitive when it comes to a round of golf and both of you are trying to see who can make those hole in ones the most. I guarantee you this will bring out each other's competitiveness and there's also nothing wrong with throwing in a lil' bet to spice up the competition!
2. Skyzone
I know what you're thinking, jumping around? Believe me when I say that this is a good fun workout and before you know it, both of you are trying to do backflips to impress the other. The more fun you're having, the more you're laid back and enjoying yourself. It's cute and different; oh and it builds up an appetite (aka food after!).
3. Hot Air Balloon Ride
This is for those who want to venture out. I mean, up! (lol) Can you imagine the views you'd get from up top just the two of you taking it all in?! Super romantic! It's also a good time to get to know one another even better and how cool is it that you get to do the talking all the way up in the sky? Definitely a date worth remembering!
4. Museum
For those who have a special love for art. Not too sure you'd find a lot of people here on that special day so even better, more art for the both of you! A museum definitely changes up the scenery (in a good way) and also is a nice way to get to know one another. I've always loved the creative inspiration I got from a visit at the museum.
5. Shooting Range
I've been shooting before and MAN OH MAN is it fun! It's a great way to destress and you def feel bad ass making the targets in front of your SO. If you're into the rush and want to try something new with each other then this is it!
6. OUE Skyspace
If you're in the LA area and want to see the downtown views from 1,000 feet up, sliding down a slide on the outside of a tower, DO THIS! U.S. Bank Tower has a cool observation deck open to the public where you can go and hang out. You can do this during the day or night and it makes for some awesome pictures. Besides, you can always say you went through a clear side at 1,000 feet up! Yes!
7. Laser Tag
I can't remember the last time I went laser tagging but I do remember how fun it was! This is something out of your element and again, brings out healthy competitiveness that we all need every once in awhile. Something as easygoing as this is bound to spark the "feeling like a kid again" feeling.
8. Sip and Paint
I'd say this one is for the ones who enjoy a good glass of wine or two. Spark up your artistic skills and do this if you want to relax with some wine and not have to worry about any long lines to fancy restaurants! These are offered everywhere and I'm pretty sure there's a Groupon for it. You'll both laugh at each other's masterpiece canvas at the end too!
9. Catalina for The Day
Catalina Island is a nice way to spend the day! This is something you can start the day with and also end the night on a romantic note. There's the boat ride there, you can bike ride, chill near the water, eat, eat some more! You don't have to travel far for this one (if you live in LA) but you'll still feel like you made a trip to remember.
10. Ice Skating
This one is a no brainer just because it's winter time and it's oh so cute to do this with your SO. Who cares if you might fall on your butt a hundred times?! If you have a good spirit and as long as you try, this will all make it worth it. Learn to skate together or cling to each other for deal life. Either way, you'll be together the whole time. ;)
