The Gucci Belt: Is It Worth It?
hi beautiful people!
This post has been long in the making or (in my notes), and so I’m finally getting to it! This is a lil’ different than my normal ‘outfit of the day’ post as it’s more of a “cop or drop” if you will. This Gucci belt has been thus far one of my most expensive single piece purchases of my life. (aside from my car!) And let me tell you that it took me a very LONG time contemplating back and forth if it was worth the purchases and worth taking the plunge. It carries a hefty price tag of about $500 so you can imagine my hesitation. I thought about it long and hard and although it’s not as “hot” on the market, I still think this post can be relevant and useful to others who are maybe on the fence of purchasing a similar piece.
Here’s how I justified my purchase for it; or for any kind of designer brand piece for that matter. You take the amount you spend and then divide it by the amount of times you put it to use. I thought about this long and hard and thought to myself that if I bought this, I better be able to use it multiple times to get the most out of it. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint or fall short of it’s versatility. The thing about this belt is that it can be worn TWO ways; waist and hips. Which makes it even more USEFUL!
So what I did is took the amount of times I imagined I can wear it and divided it by the cost. It was a statement piece for me and was able to go with a lot of outfits and still either pull it together or shine on its own. It was then I was convinced and took the plunge. Since then I’ve worn it many ways and have not gotten tired of it or never will for the matter (it was $500!). It is always the perfect staple piece for most outfits where I need a little cinch at the waist or some layering, or just need some pizazz added to it.
Therefore in my opinion, it is worth the hype and definitely worth the purchase! Look below to see some ways I’ve worn it and let me know which one is your fave! Do you have a designer piece of your own, let me know in the comments down below!
love always, Karina.
